ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plans and develops organization policies, business plans, and goals in coordination with group headquarters and implements plans and goals through subordinate administrative and production personnel.
Directs and coordinates the promotion of products manufactured or services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain or maintain a competitive position in the industry.
Coordinates activities of divisions or departments, such as operations, manufacturing, engineering, finance, personnel, quality, purchasing, planning, sales, maintenance or research and development to affect operational efficiency and economy.
Oversees activities aimed at increasing productivity and reducing costs.
Coordinates the continuous improvement effort of the organization.
Assures compliance with OSHA and other safety standards.
Analyzes the division or department budget requests and allocates an operating budget.
Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
Develops and implements capital investment plans.
Directs the preparation of directives to a division or department head outlining policy, program or operations changes to be implemented.
Promotes the organization in the industry, manufacturing or trade associations and in the community.
Has ultimate responsibility for hiring, training, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
Required to know about and apply the TS-16949 Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as part of normal job function.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Windows Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Ability to use the internet for business purposes.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
